I did an earlier post on books last month.. One was called "sing them home" and I just wanted to comment on this. It was a really good book. I loved the complexity of emotion she was able to install into each character. I was sad when it was over. I always am with a great book. I never want to see them go.
Another good read here lately and one I posted on earlier as well was "Sweeping up glass." This one definately had a lot more grit.. as you can imagine from the title alone. It was another read that I was sad to see go. It dealt with racial issues in a way that was neither uncomfortable nor unreal. I loved the main Character, Olivia and the way she dealt with her crazy mother and brow-beaten father was truly heroic!
I started another book in the last week or so but I lost the titlement to it because it took me too long to get back to it. But if I come across it again, I will post about it. (I "listen" to my books... check them out from my local library....)
Until then.. keep reading!!!
